Full Time Primary Care Veterinarian - 76 hours per fortnight (1 in 4 Saturday's)

The Lost Dogs’ Home Vet Hospital (formerly Frank Samways Veterinary Clinic) is a modern, purpose-built clinic, providing full veterinary services to the public, adopters, and foster carers of The Lost Dogs’ Home, with all proceeds of the clinic going directly back into helping the shelter animals.
A typical day looks like:
In this role, you will conduct medical consultations and perform surgeries, with dedicated time slots throughout the day for case management and follow-up lab work. You'll have the autonomy to independently diagnose and manage a diverse range of cases, conducting in-house diagnostic workups whenever possible.

Embracing a "see one, do one, teach one" philosophy, our veterinary team encourages learning through hands-on experience and fosters the development of individual interests.
Additionally, our team collaborates closely with visiting internal medicine and surgery specialists on complex cases. For those passionate about diagnostic imaging, we offer access to an in-house ultrasound machine, along with Tonometry for diagnosing eye conditions. About you:
We are seeking as experienced Veterinarian who is committed to delivering positive outcomes for our patients and looking to expand their special areas of interest in a unique clinic environment. We are looking for a someone with well-developed soft tissue surgery & dentistry skills, basic orthopedic skills and an interest in patella and cruciate surgeries would be a bonus. Additionally, you will also have:
- Current registration with the Victorian Veterinary Board
- Well-developed clinical and soft tissue surgical skills
- 3 - 4 years' experience is preferable
- Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm and the desire to be part of a passionate team
- Excellent time management & communication skills
