The Role

We’re looking for people who are fit and confident in handling large breed dogs to help us with their daily walks at our Cranbourne shelter.

You'll play an important role in ensuring our dogs waiting to find their new forever homes receive daily socialisation and exercise. We'll provide you with the skills to use positive training techniques and it's an excellent way to get your exercise in each week and meet new friends, both two and four legged!

We are looking for volunteers who can commit (for a minimum of 6 months) to a 3-hour shift on a weekday from 10am - 1pm and 1pm-4pm.

Please list the breeds of dogs you have experience with in your application.

To be considered for this role, volunteers must:

  • Have experience with energetic large breed dogs
  • Be over 18 years of age

All volunteers will receive comprehensive training and support.

Due to the popularity of our volunteer program, we cannot guarantee that all candidates will be offered a volunteering opportunity. If you miss out this time, we encourage you to apply again in future as more opportunities become available.
