The Lost Dogs’ Home (LDH) cares for over 18,000 lost and abandoned dogs and cats every year and is one of Australia’s largest animal shelters.

We provide a wide range of animal welfare and community programs and services. The LDH is very active in fighting for a better deal for animals without owners. We are a voice for Australia’s unwanted, stray, and lost dogs and cats.

The purpose of this Administration Assistant role is to provide support to the Fundraising Team, assisting them to raise valuable donations, used for the care and rehoming of lost and abandoned cats and dogs.

This volunteer role will be based in our small and supportive fundraising team and includes the following tasks:

• Handwriting and addressing greetings cards, thank you cards, birthday cards and personalised notes to our donors and supporters.
• Data entry and sorting / storing / updating of supporter information on our database and electronic files.
• Assisting with mail-outs and sending information packs (printing, folding and inserting into envelopes and addressing).
• Calling supporters to thank them for their donations and confirm postal addresses.

We're looking for 2 people to help on a Tuesday and Thursday from 10am - 2pm (flexible to meet your needs).

To be considered for this volunteer position you must be 18 years or over and possess:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive disposition
• High proficiency with computer skills
• Attention to detail and an ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
