At the Lost Dogs’ Home, we rely on our passionate and dedicated volunteers to help us maintain and take care of our gardens so that they are in a presentable state for our customers and staff.
We are currently looking for two volunteers at our two shelter locations to assist us with undertaking gardening tasks.
The time commitment we ask for is 4 hours per week on any day that suits you.
In this role some of the tasks you can expect to be involved in include:
- Weed spraying
- Hedging
- Lawn mowing
- Leaf blowing of carpark and internal areas and collecting leaf debris
- Other ad hoc gardening tasks as required
To be considered for this volunteer position you must be 18 years or over and possess:
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A positive, mature, and pragmatic attitude
- Attention to detail and an ability to follow instructions (both written & verbal)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A reasonable level of fitness and the ability and motivation to work in a physically demanding role
