About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Gifts in Wills, this newly created role is responsible for establishing and growing campaigns that identify, engage, and maintain meaningful connections with The Lost Dogs’ Home Gifts in Wills (GIW) supporters. The role will focus on the strategic implementation and management of direct marketing initiatives aimed at generating new interest in GIW, inspiring current donors and supporters to consider leaving a gift in their Will, and stewarding confirmed GIW supporters to ensure ongoing engagement and loyalty.

The majority of campaign activity will be delivered through mass marketing channels—including telemarketing, eDM, and direct mail, with occasional opportunities for in-person supporter engagement.

In addition, the role will support the planning, development, and delivery of engagement events and activities designed to strengthen supporter relationships and drive long-term growth in GIW-related income.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Drive the development, expansion and implementation of a multi-channel mass marketing campaigns for GIW engagement with warm and cold audiences.
  • Plan and deliver lead generation campaigns and conversion activities, including identifying opportunities to inspire supporters through compelling GIW stories.
  • Strengthen the Home’s digital footprint by establishing a presence on online Will platforms.
  • Develop and expanding LDH’s online Will offering to engage and acquire new, high quality confirmed GIW supporters.
  • Oversee the importing of campaign data, including the creation and updating of GIW supporter records in Raiser’s Edge.   
  • Systematically gather, accurately record and update relevant information about GIW supporters in the database.
  • Develop metrics, data analysis and reporting on GIW campaign activity.
  • Manage data integrity for GIW campaigns including import and export queries, qualifying online leads, and maintaining the moves management pipeline.
  • Work with Senior Manager, Gifts in Wills and external agencies to develop GIW campaigns, surveys, copy, content, marketing materials and telemarketing campaigns in line with the Home’s brand guidelines.
  • support the delivery of supporter engagement events and communication activities to identify new GIW supporters and establish loyalty, connection and trust with existing supporters.
  • Designing and implementing donor care, recognition and retention campaign activities for confirmed GIW supporters, keeping them connected to the Home throughout their lifetimes.
  • Plan and coordinate other GIW promotional related activities, both online and offline.

Our Ideal Candidate will Bring 

  • Previous experience working within or overseeing a Gifts in Wills program (desirable)
  • Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector in Australia.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in managing campaigns, ideally including in print, digital, surveys and telemarketing.
  • An understanding of segmentation approaches and experience of managing data-driven engagement campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing data, monitoring and evaluation, and implementing learnings and new insights.
  • Sound knowledge of using CRM databases and adhering to the policies and procedures of the surrounding data management and privacy principles.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong program reporting and analytical abilities, ideally in the area of Direct Marketing and Gifts in Wills fundraising.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and within time and budgetary constraints.
  • Ability to contribute effectively to a team environment, manage volunteer activities and work autonomously.
